Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
From Thursday 2nd September 2021, there will be a price increase on the cost of a school meal. The current price is £2.20 which will rise to £2.30.
The school has not implemented a price increase for the last 6 years but, due to the continued pressure on the cost of wholesale food, we cannot avoid this price increase any longer.
Do you or any of your friends and family have a child who turns 3 before 31.08.21?
We have FREE places in our Nursery, available from September.
Children of this age are entitled to 15 hours free childcare per week. Eg: 5 mornings or afternoons per week. We can also accommodate families who fit the criteria for 30 hours free childcare.
Unfortunately, all local schools have been advised not to hold face-to-face transition activities due to the current COVID-19 situation in Blackburn with Darwen. This means that we will not be able to have Moving Up Week as we normally might. In the final week of term, we will hold Zoom meetings for children to meet their new teacher and to talk to the children currently in that class. We will also give the children transition activities to do, to help them prepare for their next step. For children with additional needs who might find transition tricky, there will be a personalised moving up programme. At the end of term, we will send home a booklet that you can use over the summer to prepare your child for their new class/school
Year 3’s fun day has been rearranged to Thursday 24th June. A letter has been emailed out to parents.
A celebration of ‘Light’! Shadow puppets, outdoor cinema, thinking about how light brings us happiness. What lights up our lives? Planting in our sensory garden. Children are allowed to wear brightly coloured clothes – the brighter the better!

If your child needs to wear glasses, we recommend that you request a second pair from the optician so that these can be left in school. Many children forget to bring their glasses and this has a significant impact on learning.
