This year, we are collecting items that we can gift to the guests of the THOMAS centre which provides support for the vulnerable members of our local community. A letter with more details will be sent home tonight in your child’s book bag.
The dodgeball after school club that takes place on Fridays will be cancelled this week due to the PTA Christmas light switch on.
The PTA are holding a Christmas Light Switch on event after school on Friday 1st December 2017. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Do you know a local business that will be willing to donate a raffle prize? Do you have a prize that would be suitable for a raffle? Do you have a spare half hour or so to help set up the hall on Friday afternoon? We are also asking for donations of chocolate bars and boxes as well as bottles ranging from ketchup to Champagne! If you are able to help in any way, please bring your donations to the school office and contact Mrs Phillipson if you are able to help at the event.

School doors open at 8.45am so that your child can be in class and ready to learn at 8.55am. If your child is late, it is possible that they will miss important information that they need for their learning.
This Friday it will be a non-uniform day in school for Children in Need. We ask for a £1 donation to be put towards the charity. There will be a disco in the afternoon during school time were the children can show off their amazing dance moves!
On Monday 20th November, there will be a session in school for the children in Year 3 that are taking part in the Sacramental Programme. This will start straight after school and will finish at 4.15pm.
We have extended the deadline for the Pantomime. Final day for payment is Friday 17th November. If we have not had consent or payment by this date, your child will not be able to attend.

Lancashire County Council are looking for catering assistants in the Blackburn with Darwen area. The work would be for 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes a day. If you are interested in this vacancy, please contact Maria Rees on 07717 543792.
