Welcome to Nursery

A warm welcome to Nursery. Mrs Redmond and Mrs Mahmood are the Nursery practitioners, with Mrs Nickson as the EYFS Lead.

Nursery sessions

Nursery hours are as follows:

Morning sessions: 8:45am - 11:45am

Afternoon sessions: 12:15pm - 3:15pm

We also offer 30 hour sessions.

Nursery Transition

We value parents as partners and will organise a one to one, informal parents/carer meeting prior to your child starting at St Anne's RC Nursery. This enables us to get to know your child, find out about their likes and dislikes and gives you the opportunity to pass on any key information. We will work with you to arrange a suitable transition, such as short stay and play sessions prior to them starting with us. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with you, so please drop by or give us a call. 

Nursery - Reception Transition

To support the children and their families to have a smooth transition into our school, we do the following:

We hold a 'stay and play' session in the Summer Term before children start school.

Parent Information Evening in the Summer term for new families to meet our school leaders and staff.

Shared conversations with child minders and other nurseries.

We attend the Blackburn with Darwen Transition meetings.

Transition books to support change and new beginnings. We welcome information on the children's likes and dislikes.
