Enrichment

At St Anne’s, enrichment widens pupils’ cultural, social and intellectual horizons so that every pupil — particularly our disadvantaged, EAL and SEND learners — gains the knowledge, vocabulary and confidence to participate fully in school life and future opportunities. Our enrichment programme complements the taught curriculum and oracy priority by providing purposeful, high-quality experiences that develop character, communication, curiosity and cultural capital in line with our Catholic vision: to help everyone realise their God‑given talents and the belief that tomorrow can be better.

Key objectives

  1. Strengthen oracy and spoken language through enrichment activities so every pupil becomes a confident communicator by the end of KS2.

  2. Broaden cultural capital and curriculum links by offering a range of trips, visitors and clubs that make essential knowledge memorable and enable vocabulary growth.

  3. Increase inclusion and wellbeing by ensuring enrichment is accessible to all (no cost barriers, adjustments for SEND, language support and EAL scaffolds).
